About Philip
I developed a love of nature at an early age – my first landscaping project, when I was eight, was leading the renovation of an overgrown school garden. Later, whilst studying, I spent my holidays working for a landscape-gardener, learning many aspects of the trade. After graduating, eager for an outdoor life, I commissioned as an officer in the British Army and enjoyed several challenging years working with outstanding people in a variety of different countries and environments.
After leaving the army and moving to Switzerland to join my wife, I entered the world of commercial cargo shipping. However, after a number of years in this albeit fascinating business, my yearning for an earthier life came back to the fore. I therefore began studying, taking the Royal Horticultural Society exams to provide an English speaking gardening service here in Switzerland.
With the enthusiasm of that eight-year-old boy I now look forward to hearing from you and helping you to maximise your enjoyment of your garden. Please call to discuss your needs and I will be happy to provide a free estimate.
